POMPEII AND VESUVIUS

Remove Vesuvius from Naples, and the enchanted voice of the siren will have lost its sweetest harmonies for you...Vesuvius is the heart, it is the soul, it is the sum of all the splendors of the gulf. After departure from Rome, and a coffee on the highway, the first stop is at the archaeological excavations of Pompeii, where you can admire the ruins of the ancient city and learn the uses and customs of the ancient Romans. After leaving excavation in Pompeii, you will continue for the visit on Vesuvius. It is a volcano located above the Gulf of Naples and it is a dormant volcano, because the last eruption datesback to 78 years ago. From the peaks of Vesuvius, a three hundred and sixty-degree viewpoint that alone would be enough to repay the ascent, opens up the horizon towards the eastern plain, from the dense curtain of the Vesuvian municipalities to the metropolitan city, up to the enchantment of the gulf, the area Flegrea, Ischia, Procida, to the west, the magical profile of Capri, to the South. It is the most famous volcano in the world, protagonist of over two millennia of natural, anthropological and social mutations that still capture the collective imagination and threaten surprises. In case of a weather alert, for security, which prevent the visit, the Vesuvius tour will be changed with a tour of the beautiful city of Naples.
