SQUARES AND FOUNTAINS OF ROME
Enjoy a walking tour through the most symbolic places of the city that are part of the collective imagination. The tour starts in Trinità dei Monti at the top of the famous baroque staircase. Going down its 137 steps we are in Piazza di Spagna, in the heart of the city's parlor. The next stop is the Trevi Fountain, a real triumph of the waters! Tradition says that by throwing a coin into the fountain you will return to Rome. We then continue to the Pantheon, an ancient pagan temple transformed into a Christian church in the Middle Ages. The building, built in the second century AD boasts the largest concrete dome in the world and is one of the most striking examples of the engineering skills of the ancient Romans. The tour ends in Piazza Navona, built on the remains of the Domitian stadium, adorned in 1600 by Bernini's Fountain of the four rivers.
